Requests / Re: Log Date in Saved Tasks view
Ok, thanks for the reply. Follow up question, would it be possible then to feed the Log Date to what I'll call the Date Created in cases where the timestamp is different?

Requests / Log Date in Saved Tasks view
Hi there,

I've noticed that when I create a draft and 'save for later' the date/time I create the note is what appears in the Saved Tasks list. Quite often I change the Log Date field to reflect when I actually found the cache so that when I export and view it on the geocaching drafts page, they are in chronological order. Currently, the date/time created is what appears in the Saved Tasks list. Would it be possible to use the Log Date in the Saved Tasks list instead? For most people it might be the same but for those that change the date time (usually because I forget to log on the fly), it would be very useful to have them in found order instead of the order they were created.

For example, in the screenshot, there are three caches. They were created in the order shown. However, the found dates are actually Mar 16, 18, and 17.

Thanks.

Requests / Re: Show GC number
Oh, I had this same wish on my list. How have I never noticed that before!?

Would it be possible to change that behaviour? I used to use Geosphere (iOS on my iPod Touch) and it had the ability to increment the count in app. Granted, since then, ALs have become a thing but I don't do them on and it's honestly one of the big three things I miss about the app. Maybe a configurable option for those of us that want it?

Support / Re: Unable to change Log Type or Date
Screenshots? What is the three ways?

The API restricts updating log types and dates on drafts, but if you switch back to actual log, then you can update again.
Sorry, life - both personal and work - got really crazy for a couple weeks.

Three methods:
tap on cache, brings up bubble with name on map, tap on name, tap on Log Geocache
tap on cache, brings up bubble with name on map, tap on name, choose Show More ->, tap Log Geocache button at bottom of screen
tap on cache, brings up bubble with name on map, tap on name, choose Show More ->, tap on hamburger and choose Log Geocache (Same list as method 1)

Is that a recent change with the API? I've been doing it successfully for the last 15 months without having to 'uncheck' Draft, change date/log type then reset it to draft. If they've changed that, I see it as a big step back in functionality.

I'm an opportunistic cacher and usually use my GPSr, Geooh Go is mostly for writing field notes which I don't always remember to do at the moment I find the cache. So I find myself going back and creating drafts well after the fact.

Or am I missing something and there is a better workflow out there?

Support / Unable to change Log Type or Date
Coming in today, I wanted to add a couple of cache logs that I hadn't written drafts for yet. When I tap on Log Geocache (all three different ways), the log screen comes up but type and date are disabled.

I ran an update to see if that was the issue. Same thing after updating and restarting the app.

Any ideas?

Support / Time zone difference after upgrade to v12.7.5
Hi there,

I've been using the app since the summer but this is my first post.

Some time between Sunday and today (Friday), the app updated for me. When I went to log a cache today, I entered the time by tapping on the icon beside the log date. It was 12:30 PM (MDT - UTC -7) but when I hit ok and it came back to the Log Geocache screen, The log date shows as 5:30 AM. I'm guessing the difference in time is that it's picking up what i entered as UTC and correcting it.

This is different from what was happening Sunday though and I've confirmed in my settings on geocaching.com that I have it set to UTC-7 (Mountain).

Has anyone else noticed this?
