Coordinates gets saved wrong if space present

Hi

I had an error with a coordinate changing from the time I typed it in and when it was saved.
I have found the cause to it, and hope you can do something about it.

The original coordinate is: N 54° 23.000 E 009° 31.500
I have to create a waypoint at the coordinate: N 54° 24.076 E 009° 30.663
But when typing my keyboard automatically puts a space after the period and the coordnate looks like this:
N 54° 24. 076 E 009° 30. 663
After pressing submit the saved coordinate looks like this: N 54° 25.267 E 009° 30.663 (this goes both for a waypoint and if set as corrected coordinate)

Is it possible to either disregard the space and save it or get an error message?
I'm not sure about this, but is there a possibility to have the field be a number and that might change the behavior of the keyboard (not putting an extra space after the period)
