Mapsforge hillshading July 19, 2021, 11:10:50 AM It recently came to my attention that Mapsforge can do hillshading. This would be a nice addition to offline maps.I was planning to add an example picture here, but Locus maps seems to lock this feature behind a paywall.

It could be that hillshading is only supported for non-vector maps.
