Swipe photos July 10, 2023, 12:04:46 PM HiWhen watching photos for a cache all the photos are listed with the date and team name that added the photo to the log. When you want to watch the different photos, you need to tap on the cross to close one photo and then select the next photo. It would be easier if you could swipe right/left to get from one photo to the next/previous.regardsPicht Quote Selected
Re: Swipe photos Reply #1 – July 10, 2023, 12:27:18 PM There is a to-do item for a photo carousel to do what you described. The only potential problem is getting full size photos (not the thumbnails) is an expensive network call for the data/time involved. So for swiping photos the app will need to preload them which if not actually wanted by the user will cause delays. I like the idea, but I'm not confident the effort involved will cause usability problems with fetching undesired photos. At a future date, I'll explore more. Quote Selected
Re: Swipe photos Reply #2 – July 10, 2023, 12:48:35 PM I get your concern.Maybe it could be an option, so the user can select it if they have enough data. Quote Selected
Re: Swipe photos Reply #3 – July 10, 2023, 12:53:09 PM It's not data that I worry about... it's complaints from users not understanding how large some photos can be and the time it can take over slow connections to show the carousel. As I said it's on a to-do list to experiment with at a later date. Google has an upcoming photo carousel widget for Android that I will test with when available. Quote Selected
Re: Swipe photos Reply #4 – July 12, 2023, 12:38:02 PM Well, I installed some of the newer Google/Android software to enable a carousel widget. I've got this ready for the 13.4.0 release... hopefully this will work out. well enough. A new floating button on the photo list will display a carousel for the images. Quote Selected
