I don't know what could be causing it. I realized that I also have to disable wifi and not just put the phone in airplane mode to recreate the issue when around a wifi connection.
Here is a link to a video that simulates moving from online to offline as I enable airplane mode and disable my wifi connection.
Since v16 the Distance, Target Destination, My Location Bar is not displayed when offline (no data connection). I'll attach a picture to make clear what is missing.
The bar will appear if the app was started when there was a data connection. The bar disappears if the app starts while offline or if loading a new offline list. Issue can be recreated by putting the phone in air plane mode. It's nice to be able to centre the map on your location or the destination cache along with knowing how close you are to the cache rather than guessing using the map scale.
I don't know if it's related, but often when starting the app while offline I need to switch off and switch back on my location permission to get a location that is accurate vs +- >50 m
Currently all waypoints display the cache radius, parking coordinates, trailhead waypoints, adventure labs, lab locations etc.
I would like to request that the cache radius is only displayed for the physical cache location. Typically cache radius are used to check for proximity to nearby caches, which isn't applicable to most waypoints or lab locations. Caching in area with various waypoints can result in the map completely being obscured by staked cache radii.
15.1.3 included the following "Added a message when Groundspeak fails to save a cache note"
I have found this incredibly useful as I find the drafts and notes don't get saved when Geooh GO has been running for awhile. It has acted as a great indication that I need to force stop the app and open it again so I can again submit drafts and notes. Implementing the same message for drafts would be very helpful to prevent missing logs, that never get pushed to Geocaching.com.
Log Footer currently gets added automatically when logging most cache types. When logging an event the footer doesn't appear for attended logs. It would be great if the footer appeared for attended logs as well.
I always like to review the changelog after I update the app. An issue I keep coming across is I can only scroll "down" the change log. If I try and scroll back "up" it closes the "what's new" tab. If I open the section again it remains at the point I left off and I can't see the top of the change log unless I force close the app.
The formula solver is a great feature that I've used on numerous occasions.
I noted recently on a cache with 15 variables that the Solve, Cancel and Save options were not displayed at the bottom of the variables. You thus cannot use this formula solver with this many variables. I haven't experienced this before but I don't think I've done any other multis with more than 10 variables.
These buttons should be displayed so you can use the solver on these caches.
Cache, which had this issue was GC9DMX2 NAB CD.EFG WHIJ KL.MNO
I've attached images to show the missing buttons at the bottom of the 15 variable list.
The vast majority of my logs are sent as drafts, which I than complete later from a computer. The latest released, which rolled drafts into the standard logging method seems like a great improvement.
Since the vast majority of my "logs" are intended to be sent as drafts a setting to have the "draft" slider on every time I click "Log Geocache: would be amazing. I've noticed that I sometimes forget to click the slider to make my log a draft and end up submitting a log instead of a draft.
Additionally or alternatively the app could "remember" if my previous log was sent as a draft or a log. This feature seems to be created to be like the official app and in that app if you send the previous log as a draft that setting will be maintained until you switch it off.
