Support / Re: hide or minimize dialogue box on Android Auto map
Last post by Geooh GO -
Sorry, no... Google has strict control over Android Auto UI windows, dialogs, etc... developers cannot set the dimensions or placements of them. Unfortunately on older AA car displays with smaller screens things will get crowded. See the screenshot of what it looks like on larger screens.

Support / hide or minimize dialogue box on Android Auto map

Hello, When showing the map in Android Auto on the center display of my Volvo model year 2018, the "dialogue box" showing #Live and number of caches takes a very large portion of the screen since Android Auto cannot utilize the full screen on these old Volvo's.
Is there any way to make that box disappear or become smaller? Now it hides most of the center of the map...

Do you have Show All Adventure Lab Stages in the Waypoints section of Settings? There is a bug when showing all, so temporarily uncheck showing all labs until the next maintenance release comes out.

Thanks for the latest updates in the app, appreciate the improvements.

Noticing since updating to 16.2.0 touching a lab stage (Test tube)  icon crashes the app. This doesn't happen if you click the adventure lab ico (orange balloon).

Are you subscribed to the Enhanced version of Geooh? The watch feature is available to enhanced only. If you are subscribed, be sure you have checked Enable Geooh Wear in the Misc section of settings.

You can only have one geocache on the watch at a time. A watch display/performance is not suited for downloading lists of geocaches. The value of the watch is allowing handsfree searching for a geocache so you can put your phone away. Get close to the cache via the watch compass, find it, then log it with the phone... again you don't want to try logging/editing on a watch display. After posting a log, select another cache on the phone to send to the watch to find.

I have recently got a ticwatch pro 5.
I have got the app on my phone and my watch. The home screen shows the watch at the top, but i cannot see 'send to watch'

Also, is it only possible to send 1 cache? Can i not send lists or gpx or whatever, for when i go on a trail?

Thanks

No worries, thanks for sticking with me! I probably should have just played with the app a lot more before asking questions. I'm figuring it out more each time.

I have used the geocaching app before, but I really downloaded this one after a long day of trying to navigate driving from one cache to the next. I LOVE the driving feature in this one and the proximity alert is absolutely great: I usually go in a group and people get mad when I have the phone and they can't see the distance. With the proximity, everyone can hear when we're getting closer!

Thank you for making this game even more fun for us!

Even though you are using offline maps, the underlying map engine is Google maps software. And for whatever stupid reason, they won't tell the app the map has been properly loaded until the map engine can read from a Google map site.

Is there a reason why you need to use airplane mode? You could also go into it after the map is fully set up. Or use Google Maps instead of offline maps first to keep Google happy and then go back to offline maps once Google has cached information it wanted.
