Snippets, user manual and some other little questions

Hello geooh users.

I've been using geooh for a few weeks now and I'm really happy with it. I have up to a few errors with the Logs of Trackables but after checking, they are well logged in.

I would like to know the usefulness of the snippet [LOG] in the logs. I tested it but it doesn't give anything.

Is there a manual for the application? I saw a topic for this but it is from 2019.

I often have a 50p error from the geocaching server when viewing the live map. I know that often, on Sundays, geocaching servers are saturated but this problem occurs every day. In WiFi or 3g / 4g. The map is then slow to load (50 geocaches).

Is there a way to upload an entire list? I have a list of 118 caches and when loading, I only saw about thirty on the map. I came back to the list and saw that some of it was loaded.

If you need another translator for French, feel free to send me an email. It is with pleasure that I will translate what has not yet been done. Translating via Google is sometimes a bit disconcerting but that's not a problem. And if we can participate in the translation, it will be a plus for the application.

Thank you for this great app. Happy geocaching from Belgium 🇧🇪

Thanks for the nice feedback!

The [LOG] placeholder is used with a log template. Like the other placeholders, the values are inserted when submitting the log to the geocaching servers. Whatever log you entered will be inserted into the [LOG] placeholder when the log with a template is posted.

There is currently no manual. I'm trying to make the app as intuitive and simple as possible (which is difficult with so many features).

What is a "50p" error? Yes, Groundspeak seems to update their servers on Sundays which causes issues for apps and their website. The partner apps use the API which isn't as fast as the website or the official app. There are ways for Geooh to let you know the network is slow or not to use 3G which compounds the problems. Check in Geooh settings in the Misc setting and use Lite mode for the Live map to reduce network data to help speed the download of caches.

Can you explain "upload and entire list"? If you have an offline list, all the caches will be shown on the map unless you've filtered them. Screenshots of any issues are valuable for me to understand exactly what you are describing.

The latest 11.10.10 release has the most up-to-date French translations. A very kind geocacher just finished the French translations. If you find any specific language concerns, please email support@geooh.com so I can discuss with the translator. And thanks for volunteering to assist... there are many strings to translate so in the future I may ask for your assistance.

Happy geocaching to you too!
