Parking waypoint for navigation January 17, 2025, 10:50:47 AM I noticed that navigating to a cahe would ask if I want to go to the parking waypoint..great feature. However it only happened to me once, other caches with P waypoint did not give me that choice ?Now I can figure out if need at a certain screen ? geo hilsenbendtsen & hund Quote Selected
Re: Parking waypoint for navigation Reply #1 – January 17, 2025, 05:30:05 PM Do you have an example GC#? Although you think it has a parking coordinate, it may not be the standard waypoint encoding that the API would use to know it is an actual parking coordinate versus and owner provided waypoint that they said was parking. Re: Parking waypoint for navigation Reply #2 – July 09, 2025, 09:39:19 AM Hi again, sorry it took so long, I did use a work around to manually select the parking waypoint.I found a couple of things- The parking waypoint is in my actual list for the actual GC.- Its always a user-defined parking waypoint exported from GSAK that I have created When I look at the cache in Mapsource or my GPS, the parking waypoints look the same, if they are created by the CO, or if I have done it in GSAK-steen (bendtsen & hund) Quote Selected
Re: Parking waypoint for navigation Reply #3 – July 09, 2025, 10:50:57 AM Without a GC# for me to examine, I'm not sure what to tell you. Again, if Groundspeak has marked the waypoint as a parking coordinate, then Geooh will know it otherwise it is just another waypoint to the app. Quote Selected
Re: Parking waypoint for navigation Reply #4 – July 30, 2025, 02:18:13 PM But the child waypoint have different types, so you say that a parking waypoint will not be recognized by geooh ?I do export the gxp files with my list to Geooh from GSAK. Normally I do not downloading from gc.comAttached is a cache (event) where I added a parking waypoint Quote Selected

Re: Parking waypoint for navigation Reply #6 – July 31, 2025, 09:27:54 AM Okay but will you support this ?When planning a tour you often needs to add a place to park becuase the cache location could make the gps take a route to place where you cant park, and then it makes sense to choose another point-steen Quote Selected

I am not sure what more you are expecting. You can always select a non-parking coordinate and navigate to it. Quote Selected
Re: Parking waypoint for navigation Reply #8 – August 03, 2025, 01:37:01 PM A lot of caches dont have parking coordinates so when I add one of my own I would like to geooh to pick that automatically when I ask to navigate. what happens when I have a customed parking is that its not selected by the app, so I need to go back to the list of waypoints ad select that ........ it just af matter of usability :-) Quote Selected
